Search the Web
Anytime you search the web, you will notice how the search engines can bring up thousands of results. Here are some search engine tips to more quickly help you conduct your web search.

Advanced Yahoo Search
The Yahoo search engine includes an
Advanced Search option where you fill in your preferences on a form. It includes all of the options you can use on their basic search as well as the following:

Only show search engine results updated within the last 3, 6 or 12 months. |
| File Format |
Only list results in a specific file format. Choose from the drop down menu. |
| Site/Domain |
Only show results with a specific domain suffix like .com or .org. For example, if you only wanted non-business sites by limiting to .org results you would mark off "Only .org domains." Or, you can limit results to a specific web site like microsoft.com |
| Adult Content |
Remove most adult-oriented content from your search. Mark off "Filter out adult Web search results." |
| Country |
Only search sites from a particular country. Select from the drop down menu. |
| Language |
Restrict web searches to a specific language(s). Check off the ones that you prefer. |

Limit the number of search engine results per page from 10 to 100 increments. |
